We wanted to wish you and yours a wonderful holiday season. Hopefully Thanksgiving was filled with good food and plenty of family. We enjoyed spending time with our families after finishing up our show season in Washington DC.  Michigan and Colorado were cold but we were fortunate enough to enjoy some snowy weather. However, we are delighted to be back in Arizona where the weather is warm & cozy!

This year we made a multitude of new friends to add to our cookware family and had a successful season thanks to all of you. We are overjoyed that you have taken the initiative to a healthier path in life and that we could be a part of that.

We added a couple of new recipes to our website for the holidays so be sure to take a  look at what's new. We are always looking for new recipes so please be sure to forward us any of your recipes you would like to share with us. Looking forward to seeing you all next year. Wishing you the warmest of holidays and a peaceful, happy and prosperous New Year!

Joy and Light,

Brett and Lena Coleman

Cookware Tip

Do not Peek. Though tempting, especially at Christmas time, resist the urge to open the lid and peek inside. Once the cover is opened, the vapor seal is broken. This could possibly lengthen cooking time and even cause your vegetables to overcook. If you choose to flip your meat to brown both sides make sure to do this quickly and then place the lid back on the pan. If you do remove the lid for any reason and the food is not cooked completely, cover the pan, and add 1 or 2 Tbsp. of water to the rim to reestablish the vapor seal more quickly.   Happy cooking!

Coastal Carolina Fair in Ladson, South Carolina

We are halfway through the Coastal Carolina Fair in Ladson, South Carolina. Ladson is located just north of Charleston in a lush woodsy area.  At the fair there is a beautiful fireworks display every night that is a big draw along with the free nightly performances. We had a tremendous turn out over the Halloween weekend and expect the same for the rest of the fair. Below are some of the new friends/customers that we've met here at the fair.

Americraft Gives Back

For many years Americraft has been putting money back into communities all across the country by sponsoring fairs and trade shows. We have recently added a new way to reach more communities. Since Americraft encourages future generations to be mindful of the importance of buying American products we've created the "Partnership in Patriotism" Scholarship program. This is a writing competition which provides high school students in certain communities who are pursuing a college education the opportunity to express their views on allegiance. The essays are written with a patriotic theme such as "Made in America" and must discuss why it is important for Americans to buy products made in America. Below is an excerpt from a local newspaper about the latest winner of one of the Americraft scholarships.

"We hope to inspire America's youth to recognize the importance of 'patriotic spending,'" said Dave Hurley, chairman of Americraft. "We have to give the next gerneration a reason to seek out the 'Made In USA label."

Americraft, the sponsor of many state fairs, including the New York State Fair's Center of Progress Building, has awarded a $2,500 scholarship to a Long Island student for his winning essay on the importance of buying American-made products.
Jared Choi of East Moriches, now a freshman at the State University of New York in Binghamton, was selected from among 18 other essay writers by a special Fair committee. His essay, "Buying American," argued that outsourcing, widening trade deficits and decreasing American competitiveness increases the United States' dependence on foreign governments.

The State Fair in Raleigh, NC

We have been without a computer for about two weeks so I am a little behind in my postings.  Since Las Vegas we went back to Phoenix, AZ for a Home and Garden show and a short rest at the house. We packed up and headed out to North Carolina for the State Fair making a couple of stops along the way visiting friends and family.  This years State Fair had a record high attendance of over 1 million attendees and absolutely perfect weather.  It's our 4th year back so we had the great pleasure of seeing a lot of familiar faces and meeting many new one's.  North Carolina exudes an abundance of southern charm and hospitality which makes it very enjoyable to come back year after year.

The San Gennaro Feast

We just finished up the San Gennaro Feast in Las Vegas, Nevada. There were great musical performers and a lot of good Italian food. They ended the Feast with a beautiful fireworks display that lit up the sky on the last night. Although the weather was hot we still had a high attendance show.  We did enjoy the nice breeze that blessed us all six days of the Feast and we met a lot of new friends.

Making New Friends at the Western Idaho Fair

Western Idaho Fair Boise, Idaho

Here we are back in Boise at the Western Idaho Fair.  Once again the weather was wonderful for us aside from a "microburst" that did damage to the outside vendors.  The fair had to close early due to the strong winds that caused downed tree limbs, damage to the fair signs, and many vendors tents.  Fortunately nobody was seriously injured and they were able to get the fair up and running with only a short delay.  Thank you to those return customers that stopped by to say hello and we thoroughly enjoyed meeting all the new ones. Looking forward to seeing you all next year.

Cookware Tips

Remember, when cleaning your cookware use your stainless steel cleaner with the green scotch brite pad only on the inside of your cookware and the sponge side on the outside of your cookware.

Be sure to refer to your dvd, you received with your set, for extra helpful tips on cleaning, cooking and additional recipes.

Nevada County Fair

We are back in Grass Valley, CA at the Nevada County Fair. The fairgrounds are one of the most beautiful we have ever seen. All the buildings, rides and animals are scattered amongst numerous pine trees that all seem to touch the sky they are so tall. This year we were blessed with beautiful weather and friendly visits from familiar faces. It was also a treat to meet many new friends at the five day fair. Looking forward to seeing you all next year and in the meantime keep in touch.

Cookware Tips

1. Remember, "medium to low is the way to go". Cook your food on medium to low heat with this cookware for the most optimal results.

2. If you use frozen vegetables, try placing a piece of iceberg lettuce in the bottom of your pan and then put the vegetables on top to cook them.

Seeing Old Friends and Meeting New Ones

Coming back to the Mid-State Fair feels like a family reunion. A lot of people have lived in the area for a long time and therefore run into familiar faces at every turn. Our past as well as new customers make us feel as though we are part of that family.

Our Paso Robles, CA Adventure

We're back out on the road and have landed at our 1st stop along our cross country journey. We're in Paso Robles, CA for the California Mid-State Fair; it's our 4th consecutive year here. We always look forward to coming back each & every year because the people are genuine, down to earth and A LOT of fun. We love seeing everyone when they stop by to say "Hi" and tell us how much they're loving their new cookware. Another bonus to visiting this part of the California is that it has so much to offer. The country side is beautiful with it's rolling hills filled with vineyards and some of the coolest trees we've seen along our travels. On a more personal note we've just celebrated our one year anniversary on June the 7th. Thank you again to all of you who gave us your blessings & well wishes, it's very much appreciated. Please make it a point to stop by this year and give us the traditional "hello," we'll look forward to seeing you.

All The Best, Always!
